It really depends, but keep in mind, you might also make your car run like crap. I am not too sure on those motors. An untuned motor running rich is not a good thing. Although fire out of the exhaust looks cool, lean is mean, remember that. People who do things like remove 02 sensors generally run a 02 simulator, or defoulers in some cases, so they do NOT get the check engine light. Another thing to remember is when you pop a CEL, which you will, you will never know if your car is trying to tell you something is wrong.

My buddy had a CEL for his car, he thought it was for is 02 sensor, because his car was newer (07) and it hadn't been acting up. VW ran it for him to make sure when he was getting a DSG service, and they found a major engine failure that was happening. He would have never known.

There's truth here. Your car will prob. run like crap because unlike my car your obd2 with 2 oxygen sensors, mine is obd2 but still only has one.

Hahaha! Shad up! It was the first thing I could think of that backfire a lot stock, or stockish. You gotta admit, those 2.4L Turbo motors make a ton of noise on the Neon.

I must admit they can get loud as fck lol.

Well, take this in the nicest way possible, because I really am not trying to be rude, but deliberately making a car shoot a flame out, to make it look cool, and in doing so potentially jeopardizing your vehicle, is in my opinion rice.

Keep in mind, exhaust flames aren't cool because you see them on fast and furious (like you said), or because some delapitated corolla backfires. They are cool because you see them on a sick Porsche down shifting into a corner, or a car burning fuel after a race flying down the highway, or a car letting off after a dyno pull.

Basically, your giving your car the impression it can do something due to a certain level of performance, when in fact you just made your engine run a bit richer. Have you driven in a car that runs too rich? I mean, it isn't fun, haha. Just a heads up, it might get old fast.

dude i think he was asking if there are any mods to his exhaust that will do this. usually when u mod exhaust and do it right you get a small gain from it.

remember, he is modding a WRX. i.e. NOT SLOW

why would he try to ruin it by doing something for looks?

and btw there is nothing wrong with a car that runs a lil rich...
