So I posted a previous thread about replacing the exhaust resonator with a glasspack and removing the pre-muffler. After getting negative feedback I went and did it anyway. It cost me 80$ (40 for glasspack, 40 for installation). The flow has improved, as well as mid-range torque. The sound is great but is very very restricted. like a puff of air coming out of the mufflers. I hate the stock mufflers.

My question is, I'm thinking of buying either Flowmaster 40s or Cherrybomb turbos. Are there any other similar mufflers I can get that are readily available, would sound better and are pretty cheap?

PS. I have a J30A1.

Those mufflers you listed above won't due much more than just un-bolting your exhaust at the axle, as far as sound anyways.

If you want something cheap and nice, get a black vibrant exhaust muffler and get it installed.

I really did own an 88 IROC before you Accord huh?

Flowmasters + Cherry Bombs = Complete failure.

For the same money you spent on the Pepboys glasspack you could have bought a nice Dynomax or Magnaflow resonator.

2 things:
Best of luck, with whatever you choose; and:

On my 2004 mustang GT, I had Flowmaster 40s w/ cat delete. Sounded great. Mustangs are a B**ch to fix, and cost to much. I moved on, and a 2002 coupe w/ 5 spd. is fast enugh, as well as it can actually turn, "Right out of the box", so to speak. The mustang felt twitchy; and going around turns seemed scary at times.
