A turbo f23 would a$$rape an h22 then get a friend a Eiffel Tower the bish.

The h22 is great motor, don't get me wrong. But when stacked up to a turbo f23, there's no comparison. Turbo f23's on low boost dyno 220whp/tq. Full bolt on h22's tuned, I've seen one on v6p 197whp and 167wtq. He also has taken about 300 lbs off the car. The torque won't match the f23's either. There's no replacement for displacement.....ecept turbo....hmm...in this case, f23 is the best of both worlds.

^^do a compression check... f23s have weak ringlands.... if ur motor is dying, swap out ur pistons and rods so tht u can boost even more :lolrun:

Turbo F23 > NA H22

Turbo F23 gives more power, for less money, and less work.

NA H22 gives less power, for more money, and more work.

i have never understod the purpose of an NA H22 in a heavy car. it would never match up in the long run against any real car. for the money, the f23 is better, but for the deep pocket people, h22 fully built bottom and head with turbo is a beast if done right.

Yea, for a cheaper build, the turbo f23 would be faster than an mild NA H22 build, no doubt. Motor to motor, the H22 is a better choice. Built NA, motor to motor, the h22 is a better choice. Built boosted, motor to motor, the H22 is a better choice. Its designed to be better, in breathing, reving and aftermarket. Ofcourse there are exceptions, like stinkers boosted f23, or a few others. But for a built boosted project, the H22 is a monster. Iam not saying the f23 cant make power, i know it can, d-series do it all the time. Iam just stating the obvious.

another thing that i have not understood with some h22 guys is, why in the hell do they build the motor to only make almost 400hp when you could do that with the f23. if i buy and h22 and take the time to build it, i want 500+hp. there was this guy down in houston that had a 5th gen with 500+hp with ac daily driven.

Well, think of it this way, my friend tim, has a boosted h22 6 lbs , makes 265 hp, a guy on honda-tech 4th gen h22 accord 30lbs makes 650 hp. Or go to the extreme, stephen papadakis's h22 drag tube chassis civic, makes over a 1000 hp. Its all in what you want to do with it, hell d-series boost builds can top over 300 hp. Its not cheap by any means to have a daily driven 500+ hp accord.
