There has been some misinterpitation of what I said. It is not easy just to slap a turbo on an engine. I was saying that it is theoretically easier to gain more hp with a turbo build than an all motor. If you spend the same amount of money on a turbo engine build and an all-motor build, running on high octane fuel from the pump, your hp and torq curves will be different. You can dial in hp by adjusting the boost pressure that you are running. You can't pull that with an all-motor build.

my bad I took it as u saying a turbo build being easier than an NA build. where you were actually saying its easier to make power by upping the boost whereas NA is a lot more tedious and fickle to get more power.

yeah, i read over what i wrote earlier and saw the confussion in what my point was....

...the only time i've seen an easy turbo build, was when this kid out here put a turbo on a civic dx with no kind of build up. he didn't even run an intercooler. i've also seen a guy buy a brand new 99' si a couple weeks after learning how to drive a manny. spent his military bonus on a turbo build, with built engine, custom interior, lowered it and through some wheels on it. i know the guys that put in the labor, and that car spent more time getting the clutch replaced than it did on the road for it's first year. i've seen stupid ****e. two examples of noobs at their finest hours....

nice hotaccord..... very nice

let me just say this.... our engines are perfect for our cars. getting from point A to point B. F series has tons of potential from strong sleeves to vtec to amt of room to work with compared to cb's and cd's.

but when it comes down to it, for increased power, tuning and shear fun... having 2 cams is better. if i didnt get my h23 head for free, i would spend the same amt of money building the f23 to full turbo specs.

for the avg tuner. 5k is enough to spend on a car for the time being. to swap in an engine that cost almost the total cost of the avg spender, is stupid.

we all must remember that we are dealing with one of the most costly and worst investments of all hobbies. cars diminish in value as well as there parts. you get into a wreck, your gonna put the f23 back in there even if u had an h22 in there b4. minimizing the amt we put into are cars will be better in the long run.

Cliff NOtes: stick with your f23's unless you plan on throwing more than 250 to the wheels

Yea the f23 is the way to go to just have a fun car thats a nice car to just cruise in add a little bit here and there to bring out some more potential and you have yourself a nice daily drive at least thats how I feel. Once I get my cam in and my drop I'll be good. And I dont know about you guys but until I graduate from school and start making some really money I can invest in a true performance car but I dont think I'll ever give up my accord to many good times I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about four door hondas for life lol maybe up grade to a tsx well thats just my two cents. It's nice to hear how so many of you guys are sticking with the f23

hahaha fickle........
i appreciate the comments but also badgertype,

i agree with you when you say two cams are better than one, yes they will flow a lot better than our sohc head ill give you that, thats why alot of accord owners go the g23 route with f23 block and h22/23 head for flow

one thing that i wanted to ask you is why you said if you want more than 250whp why not the f23? i just got a little confused, is it because it cost so much money to get the h22 in our cars for the different base to start off with for more potential?

i am just curious not trying to start a war here hahaha

I think he meant on stock internals..because the F23 is a very strong motor..especially sleeved. It's basically bulletproof with forged internals and sleeved.
