Yeah... the most expensive part will be "fixing" his truck, which I'm sure just has like a couple scratches. Just gotta find a new Taffeta white quarter panel at the junk yard and swap it and you should be all good :p

yeah sorry man, but definitely would seem you're at fault. when entering a roadway you always have to yield to oncoming traffic unless there's a 4 way stop.

hope it all works out

according to my attorney, my turn wasn't illegal? He said that the other guy could have stopped. As of now, i told him the whole story, he wrote everything down, and they're going to talk with the other guys insurance sometime during this week.

by the way, on his DL he had a restriction. rectriction 24. does anyone know what that is?

A u-turn isn't illegal unless stated, but I think just because someone could have stopped doesn't mean it's their fault, the truck obviously had the right of way seeing as he made no turn had no stop sign or any other signs that says he has to yield to traffic in his way. I'm not trying to be mean but there really doesn't seem to be any getting around that.

Restriction 24 VISION MEDICAL EXAM REQUIRED EVERY 6 MONTHS. If it is determined that the driver has a progressive type of visual disability, disease or condition, this examination must be required in the form of a vision report furnished from a vision specialist every six months, unless a longer period for periodic reexamination is specified by the vision specialist.

From your drawing it looks like you pulled onto another street to do the uturn tho. If you stayed on the street you were on, and did a u turn he would have been behind you the whole time and never had a chance to hit your front fender unless he tried to go around you. you pulled into another street to make the turn tho right?
