So I have this crack that spans from one corner to the next at the top of my windshield.
I had bought a Groupon worth $100 from Cascade Auto Glass for just $19. The good thing is that they only use OEM glass. They quoted me $354 installed and since I have a $100 Groupon, my total out-of-pocket would be $273.
Today I just so happened to bump into a Safelite guy at my work and he gave me a guestimate quote of $175 installed for their glass. He told me that all of the windshields are pretty much the same nowadays, in terms of safety standards and such.
Do you guys think it's worth that extra moola for OEM? What are your experiences with OEM/aftermarket windshields?
