i think my CEL light burnt out, lol.
i've had my CEL on for a while already and now it's not anymore. it doesn't even do the check when turning the key to the "on" position. imna have to replace it the next time i take my gauges cluster out. i'll do this after i get my replacement LEDs

Hey guys. Don't mean to stretch this thing out too much or get too off topic but I did a search and couldn't come up with an answer to my question. I recently took out my gauges and started removing the orange paint on the needles using lacquer thinner (using a q-tip, worked great). Only problem is there is paint on the underside of the needles as well, and it seems to go pretty far into the black plastic housing. Just wondering for all you that have removed the paint, how did you remove the paint on the underside of the needles?

i was going to do that also. but i was scared that i might ruined the needles..

you can take your needles off and clear them with rubbing alcohol. there will still be a slight orange tint but not muh of one and get some spray paint of your choice an hold it decent ways back from the needles and put a light coat. it works i did that to mine cuz i have black light leds in mine and it didnt shine trough the orange at all so i hit mine with a light coat of white after clearing them. ill upload some pics if im home tonight.

Do NOT pull the needles off under any circumstances
I can't stress this enough. You _will_ mess up the needle calibration, or worse yet - render your cluster unusable.

I have a sedan with a coupe cluster....the only thing is that my dome light doesn't come one when i open the rear doors lol
edit: if anyone needs i have amber needles

good to knw ... i have to keep my dome light off since my dome light stays on when i have it set to turn on when doors are opened ... i dunno what's wrong with it lol
