Well, we have (1) stock pump and that's in the tank. so you are right there.

The in tank stock fuel pump i still have, but I also have the inline walbron 255lph fuel pump sitting in my engine bay. Im actually looking at replacing the inline with the bosch (in the engine bay), and later down the road swap out the in-tank one for a walbro in tank fuel pump. haha.

Are you running two pumps in preparation for E85, or is there some other reason?

Have always been running two pumps, never took out the stock in tank fuel pump. No real reason why, mainly just back up in case one goes out.

So you have an inline pump and the stock in tank pump? What is the inline pump rated at?

Re: Going for a re-tune....

well according to my tuner the wire upgrade helps because if you take a volt meter to the power wire AT the fuel pump its usually not getting the full voltage that the car is producing. He said he's not sure if its just cause this wiring is older and just has alot of resistance or if it just happend to be the way it was right off the dealers lot. But he says you can tell the difference when tuning a car. said he'd had cars that "should" have had a much better fuel setup for the amount of power that they were making but were having zero issues with the fuel pump being able to keep up.

sooo I dunno if I'm just not thinking through this properly. but if you have a stock fuel pump pulling fuel from the tank hows is it actually getting a better fuel supply? Would the inline walbro just overpower the stock pump and basically use it as an extension of the fuel line?

Yeah that's one thing that i have to check is the wiring and make sure the pump is actually working.

Honestly haven't had time to even think about working on it, the gf's birthday and xmas is like a week away, on top of my other car needing brakes (rotors and pads), water pump, thermostat, belts, oil change, and some other things to fix to try to sell it, there really hasn't been time to work on it. But as soon as all this other sh** is out of the way, i will be picking the project back up and hopefully get it running again soon!

Hope everyone had a good christmas. Tomorrow I will be doing the water pump and fluid changes on the Jeep, then after the new year (first thing) i will do the breaks and rear wiper fix, then on to the honda.....

prob end up replacing the fuel pump either way, because i want an in-line bosch fuel pump in the long run.
