Horn issue

So I recently installed new horns in the front of the car, just stock replacements due to old ones dieing. Once we hooked them up they worked fine. Once I drove home they stopped working.

I noticed before I put the new horns in that when I push on the steering wheel you can hear the relay clicking under the hood. With the new horns I am no longer hearing it click so I replaced the relay with a good one and still no clicking and no horn.

I also checked all connections and every fuse in the car (Under hood, Driver side and Pass side fuse boxes.) Everything looks good, no bad fuses and no loose connections.

Does anyone have any other suggestions I could try. Im guessing my next test would be to get a volt meter and test things that way? Or is there anything else I can try before hand?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need my car inspected ASAP.

Yeah, multimeter and check for power at the horn and the fuse block for the two easiest spots. Then work around that. Also look for a bad ground, if they worked for a bit, you may have a loose wire in there somewhere.

^ Exactly what he said. You can also take the horns and take each and test them against the battery to make sure they work individually as is.

sounds like you blew you multiplex on the driver side.. or a blown fuse, cause i have the feeling you didnt pull out every fuse and check each one.

Actually I did pull out and check every fuse, I checked all in the fuse box under the hood, all in the fuse panel on the pass side and all in the driver side panel. Unless there is another panel im missing im pretty sure none were blown.

hahaha foolish you shoulda used a fuse checker. it woulda made life alot easier.

So after reading some more about the multiplex I found out that the horn and the dash lights dont work. So I decided to check my dash lights and low and behold they dont work.

So is this a deff multiplex problem or is there something else that could cause this? All in all tho im gonna have to say I think its the multiplex, lol.

on the horn relay check for 2 powers while pressing your horn my guess is you blew the fuse due the higher amperage of the new horns but i could pull up a diagram later if you need

Ive already swapped out the horn relay. And the horns are just factory used horns which worked fine when I first put em on.

IF you could post the diagram I'll check it anyway just to be safe.

I think I know what may have caused this issue after looking around the car today. When I bought it the guy took the deck out and there was one exposed wire with I think might have grounded out, that damn orange one, lol.
