I was kinda skeptical about that NA dyno of 190 hp, but I dont think we will ever see proof of it. If he was high comp. with a Good cam, an a excellent tune, sure. With 9:3 compression, it would take a whole lot more than a mild cam to reach that output, given that most stock f23 accord manuals dyno 130 whp at best.
Well..usually nitrous is dead on..so I would presume he is over 170whp..which is feasible with his mods. I'd just love to see a dyno sheet..I'm not doubting you Demon..especially since I doubted myself when I saw my dyno numbers with my mods

Yes it is but, think of it this way, when your spraying 125 shot of chemical induction, 300 hp is very attainable anyway, with decent tuning. Say you wanted to hit 190 hp, your at 156.9(I/H/E aftermarket clutch & flywheel) which is not stock, you now have to account for 34 more hp. You have to gain that with a "mild" cam and 9:3 compression, and some good tuning. Givin most "mild" cams give anywhere from 10-15 (15 being tuned) hp accross the rev range on motors with decent compression , thats still not enough for 190 hp. And he said he had a gude cam, and all of em are mild at best. If you see where iam getting at, this claim needs proof and we still have not been shown a dyno sheet yet. Iam not saying its impossible but, it needs proof and the only proof is a dyno sheet. There used to be a guy on Honda-tech with a f23 accord who dynoed 152 hp 153lbs NA, and he had similar mods to you, and pulled 15.2 in the quarter. His car was nice for his mods and so is yours, but when someone says i made 190hp NA on a f23 accord with low comp. it should be complimented with a dyno sheet.

peace

just read the whole thread :) You guys are proving the F23 to be very nice even NA. If some of you don't know me i'm shooting for a VERY close to 500WHP on stock sleeved block. Project will be done near the end of february and I'm going to post pics soon! School just started again so I'm super busy.

Good luck with that! Unsleeved 500whp...? Uh oh..I hope your motor is strong! Post some numbers when you get it done, good luck

oh wow...those numbers are SICK for an all motor SOHC congrats....as far as a dyno sheet umm.......it was from my butt dyno w/ a 200 shot of spray, some seafoam, and a new muffler bearing.

Hey, do you have ANY type of dyno sheets or track slips for the numbers and prclaimed power you're throwing out?

Cause, I can't see it possible with a stock F23 block
Specifically, dealing with your sig.
And by the way, An E36 M3 stocks 240HP to the motor which is about 215-220 to the wheels

Yea blacknight, its not possible at all, unless he is running aftermarket rods, pistons and rod bearings. Plus a fully aftermarket valvetrain, to be able to make over 400 hp. The sleeves are tough iron, so I have faith in them but the rest of the bottom end is utter garbage. But maybe he built the bottom end, and can clarify this with us??

Quoted from Jack...

"I'm shooting for 450WHP on stock block, w/ forged internals. Should be done by january. I got well over 300whp on stock internals!!! AEM EMS FTW! Its alllll about the tune"

Sorry guys i'm back from the dyno i'll post up the dyno sheet shortly quick specs 194WHP 331whp with 150 shot.

to clear some things up When i made 137WHP i only had a AEM CAI,somptech header and crappy 2 1/4 exhaust and test pipe. Sorry if i made that confusing so no i didn't just do a cam and instantly went to 189whp.

Here a quick list that brought my HP from 137whp to 189whp

-2 1/2 inch mandrel bent exhaust
-AEM cam gear
-gude camshaft
-port and polished head
-port and polished intake manifold and throttle body by www.maxbore.com
-stock accord ecu with Uberdata (highly recomend)
-dsm 450cc injectors with resistor box
-Airraid throttle body spacer with dual nitrous ports
-255lph walbro fuel pump
-ebay fuel pressure regulator

Now for the beefed up internals

-Crowler rods
-Cp pistons 9.3-1 compression
-ARP head studs
-zex wet kit with 100-125-150 shot

Ok we did richen up the fuel around the 4k to 6k range by 5% which in the end got me about 8 more whp we increased the shot to 150 which got right at 331whp not the the 350whp we were shooting for but from what we see were pretty much at 100%duty cycle for the 450cc injectors we were told they would be good the 400hp but maybe it's the fact that there used but there not going to be able to puch anymore fuel beyond 340whp.

As for the question on what compresion i'm running it should be around 9.3to1 compresion that what's were are supposed to be but with the multi layer head gasket we have must likely lowered it to 9.2to1.

I hope that helps out i will get the sheet posted as soon as i get to my house.

Either his tuner can tune the heck of the F23 and do it better than most other tuners or I call BS on this one. I mean, we have people here with port and polished heads with other mods and they're no way near 150 WHP. Yeah, I too want to see dyno sheets. I'm going down this route pretty soon with a cam (researching on which profile). Funny I found this thread searching for VAFC, though. Some things are not adding up.
