You would have to buy the clear tail lights (all clear), and paint them with red lens paint.

I see them on ebay from time to time for cheap.

EDIT: He ya go, Tails

Buy those, and get some red lens paint and paint them however you want.

Yeah there is, I forget what brand makes it though.

PM Sakuradrops, he knows the brand name. It's transparent amber hobby paint for RC cars.

EDIT again: This will work Clicky

"JDM EURO CLEAR TAIL LIGHT" Isin't that an oxymoron??

I've considered buying a set with some clear lenses like these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02-HONDA-ACCORD-2DR-ALTEZZA-TAIL-LIGHTS-SMOKE-99-00_W0QQitemZ300181322798QQihZ020QQcategoryZ33716QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

painting the lenses a dark candy red, or a darker 'tinted' red like mine are now, and putting those over the stock housings... I think that would look hot.

That's exactly what I want to do. Right now I'm doing a LED retrofit on the stock tails w/ the fog/misted lenses. I guess when I'm done I'll get to see whether it would still look good w/ clear red lenses.

(Sorry to revive this but...) Searching on the forums, I found this thread. To any who want to tint your tails, I've done it on my eclipse about 2 years ago and it hasn't faded a noticeable amount since.

What I did was:
0) REMOVE TAIL-LIGHTS. You want to do your painting in a well-ventilated area, but nowhere too windy (things like dust will blow onto your paint)
1) Use a saturated amount of lacquer thinner to remove anything from the lens (ie: wax) and etch the plastic to prepare it for sanding.
2) sand down the lens with fine to very-fine sand-paper.
3) apply 1st coat (VERY thin layer - should look almost stock after first coat) and let dry
4) apply additional coats evenly and a bit thicker than the first coat but not too think that it runs - allow dry periods between coats. repeat until desired darkness is achieved.
5) after COMPLETELY drying, sand down paint with VERY VERY FINE sand-paper. Wipe clean with a lint-free cloth - otherwise lint will stick and you would have to start all over.
6) apply clear-coat as you would the tint spray - in layers
7) enjoy

all these steps are necessary since you are using CANNED tint spray. Other higher-quality paints should be applied normally.

I'll do this to my accord soon. It takes a LOT of time but it is worth it. My favorite part about it is the fact that it looks like theres a black plastic covering over it. It has a natural, even shine to it that fools the most crucial critiques (judges for you show cars)

All I did was wipe them ****s down with some rubbing alcohol, taped off the bottoms, sprayed the tops to the desired darkness, removed the tape and applied three coats to the bottoms.

Done.

Used Pactra Racing Finish R/C Car spray Tint. It leaves a nice glossy finish. It's the best stuff I've used, and I'll never use anything else.
