How to tint the back lights..DIY

thinking of doing this for my silver 4dr... j miller did you do the top strip of your taillights almost completely black and did the lower part lighter? (3 shades) how did you like it? any problems with cops?

If you want to use film, i have Lamin-X vinyl thats been just sitting in my trunk. When I got it, it was $80. Nice and thick. Apply it like any other film and use a heating source to soften it.

hey im thinking about tinting my taillights with the spray cans. but im a newbie so i was wondering, do u spray the outside of the taillights? or do you open the tail lights up and paint the inside? and do you sand ANYTHING DOWN? THanks!!! an answer would be greatly appreciated!!!
