yea, i cant pass for ****. i need to get the test faked.

Is your check engine on shark? In oregon if we live away from the metro area we dont need to test our cars. If u have a family member or someone you cant trust, they might be able to get away without testing ur car by registering it. only if they live in the middle of nowhere though....

Congrats on finishing a tedious project Marc!

OBD1 throws CEL's just the same, but OBD1 wasn't designed around 20 different emissions variables, so it's not so damn sensitive to stupid stuff.

yea obd1 is just a more stripped down verison. for the most part, its the same kinda stuff, but there is no need for all the stuff that throws CEL's in the stock ECU.

on my car, i have it set so that the ecu is not lookin for any sensors, other than the VSS, TPS and like a few other things i know im forgetting. i dont have my knock sensors connected, or just about any other sensor. the only o2 sensor i have is my wideband which is not wired to the ECU at all, and thats about it really. the one thing i wish i could elimate tho, is the automatic ignition lockout solenoid. i have it wired so that the car will start and stop and let me take the key out, but it displays that im in park, and reverse, and its just kinda... annoying when people ask me why its doin that and i gotta explain that all. lol. maybe ill just paint over the part on the cluster that displays the grears, or ill get really creative, make a new backplate that has 1,2,3,4,5 and R and then wire some kinda cool system to my shifter so i can see what gear im in if ever in doubt LOL

another question, did you get the 3" DP from spoolin performance also?
if so,where did you get the flanges for where the DP would meet the CAT or rest of the exhaust system?

well... i was gonna... but they didnt make it any more at the time.

so, i ordered my own selection of stainless 3 " mandrel bends, and strait section, and a muffler (hks hi power turbo) with a 3 inch inlet, as well as a 3 inch turbo flange and some other bits, and had a shop make me a totally custom one. its pretty much entirely strait under the bottom of the car, maybe one slight 45 degree bend, and thats all. the downpipe was made at the same time, as well as a dump tube. cost about 250 in labor, and maybe 600 in parts, and WELL WELL WELL worth it. there is no truly plug and play exhaust system for a turbo. every manifold will have different clearance, every turbo will be differently sized... so i say go custom, or run open downpiope
