My car was a beast when I first bought it... I thought a valve lash adjustment would help out a wimpy muffler putt with no avail. I factory spec'd all valves. What resulted was a slower, unbeast like 4 cyl. 2002 Honda Accord coupe 5 SPD. One note I took was how loose the intake valves were, and how tight the exhaust valves were before any adjustments were made initially. The car has a massive cold air intake with a " who the****knows cat back exhaust. My question would be...Do intake and exhaust upgrades require a different valve lash? And if so which way should I go +/- with the lash.
If the big cold air intake performed well with a loose intake valve setting given the intake has mandrel bends, should I readjust the exhaust valve lash according to its non mandrel bent tubing? Do these things correlate at all when performing valve lash to spec, on a non factory intake/ exhaust system? Please I need Asian answers. Thanks a lot in advance guys and gals
