MUAHHAHAHA the same thing happened to me........you just have to stretch it a little.

~Bolt one side on first
~Pull it in the middle to center it as much as possible, even pulling a little past center if possible and put ONE screw in to one side of the center of the bumper.
~Pull the side thats not screwed on until you can get a screw to bite.

You just have to work it a lot, but it WILL fit.

Just out of curiosity, did you buy it from K2Motor on Ebay?

haha i have a 99 sedan with a type r lip....same thing here...i had to keep pulling till it fitted. now it's nice and tight

Well guys, my friends and I finished painting the lip (black) b/c it was all scratched up and finally got the lip on. We tried numerous times of trying to get it on until we noticed that the bumper and the inner fender were not bolted on together thus expanding the bumper making the lip impossible to fit We solved that and got the lip to go nicely but ended up with tiny cracks on each side of lip.

I bought a Type-R one from K2 Motor too that did not fit. Had to fight to get refund. They even admitted to having complaints from other customers. I then ordered Mugen one from someone else (can't remember seller) and it also did not fit. I ended up trimming the upper part where it curves so it could fit flush and reach the ends of the bumper. It took a while trimming back and forth, but finally got it to fit. It was tight though. I think it's a common problem with items made in Taiwan or China since both lips had the same identical stickers and "Made in Taiwan". Cheap products sometimes means bad fitment. Hope this helps.
