^^ hes not really looking to mod it tho, so idk, i think he'd be better off with another f23 manual.....thatd probably give him better gas mileage at least, haha.

Then I should get the f23, correct me if I'm wrong not a expert here, but I know the H22/23 tranny is good for better pick up due to its shorter gears and with the f23 tranny fifth gear is best for gas mileage for coasting on the highyway to get to my point should stick with f-series tranny or since i like speed lol h22/23 which is best and cheaper.....

best would be the h22 tranny with the 5th gear from the f23 manual installed. but for stock, if youre concerned about highway rev's, f23 tranny would be best.

Welcome...

BTW: you can send that trans. to Cali and back to you for less than 1/2 the price you got quoted. That's ridiculous!!! :jerkit: I say if can't find a decent local rebuilder than head to your local wrecking yard and get a used one. Labor to swap should be around $400, give or take a few $$$. Good luck!

Weird thread. No, it's not common to have these problems on the MT accords so your dad & sister must have really had some fun with that clutch before he sold you the car. Yes, you overpaid for your transmission by a significant amount. You could have just checked local salvage yards, eBay, and any companies that sell motors & transmissions online...could have saved you quite a bit.

Good luck with the car.
