I've been searching for 2 days now and I've found minimal amounts of feedback on KYB AGX's. I bought a set that has 7K miles on them and they're in good shape from some guy on craigslist for $200 with Dropzone coilovers (not going to be used!), and I've been trying to see what other people thought about them before putting them on. I have to save a little for springs/GC coils anyway.
The best feedback I saw was in the suspension review thread and it said that GC and KYB AGX's were the best setup for track use. I really just want a subtle drop with OEMish comfort.

Anyone have any feedback on them that has had them/ridden in a car with them for a while? Thanks in advance!

definitely not "oem-ish comfort" :lawl:

they're stiff as ****...maybe if you turn then all the way dowm they may be acceptable.

well the car ive been in wasnt a 6th gen but it had the fronts set to 2 or 3 and the rears set to 5 (drag setup)...disregarding the rear setting, they were completely unacceptable for street driving unless all your roads are like glass.

edit: another friend had them in the front of his civic for sure, but i cant remember what shocks were in back. dont remember his settings since its been like 5 or 6 years. still...change tray rattling stiff.

well, shoot, I already have these.:eusa_doh:
On the softest setting, are they a smoother ride at all? I mean, this is my DD and I'd like to keep it comfortable....doable?

depends on your tolerance, i guess. on a 99% of the time street car, not for me, thanks.

then again, i choose comfort and convenience over performance in a daily car :lawl:

Thank for your help, you rock. I'm assuming that I need to wait till I have 50 posts to make a FT thread as well, so I'll just wait until then and see if anyone has some illuminas or a shock/spring combo they'd want to trade.....I was afraid of this when I read "best track setup"!

They were used with Dropzone's? Ouchh.

In that case, you might want to look elsewhere if I was you. Maybe buy a new set of AGX's?

Or try looking for Illuminas or Koni Sports.

Why? The shocks aren't blown, the dropzones actually still look like they're in pretty good shape. The shocks seem to be in great shape....what would the dropzones have done to them??

Super ****ty spring rates, could've blown, also depends if it was slammed too could've blown the struts. Correct me if I'm wrong.
