lightweight flywheel

Does anyone know how much of a whp gain u get with a lighter flywheel?

you don't gain any. It gives better throttle response and allows you to change gears faster due to a quicker drop in rpms.

There definitely is a horsepower gain at the wheels which is what the op was asking. It will not make the engine produce more horsepower though. Think about it less rotating weight on the crank is gonna make it wrap up quicker. You are reducing loss of power through the drivetrain. The gain is very small on our cars with basic bolt-ons though. I have the Fidanza flywheel and didn't notice much.

I never got it dyno-ed after my ACT 11.9LB one,but it does feel "peppier" but also looses RPM faster..
but im sure going from a 25+~LB flywheel to a 10 lb or so would free up some lost power as they said to the wheels.

I have a fidanza 8lb flywheel. It definitely is faster than my friends 5spd accord. I don't enjoy the price of it though cause I installed a stock spec clutch.

Yea that's what I figured. I jus wanted to know the whp difference from oem to aftermarket flywheel. I'm thinkin about gettin one since it seems like a good investment. Our cars accelerate so slow and takes forever to change gears when racing cars with shorter gears..

i would get a act the fidanza/clutch master fly i bought crapped on me in 6 months. either way it will free up some new hp maybe 3-5whp but add that to other mods and you can get a nice peppy accord good luck

yeah if anything it free's up power at the wheel vs power from the engine so if theres a loss because of flywheel and clutch/ tranny combo the light weight flywheel will help lessen the loss (which has been said a number of times)
