Making a V-TEC indicator light

i just did this mod like 3 hrs ago, real easy
i used the following:
3ft of 18 or 16 guage speaker wire
1 5mm Blue Led
a 330 ohm 1/4 watt resistor
some electrical tape
and some scissors

it took me about 20 mins.. from splicing, taping, etc

i noticed my vtec comes on around 3200 rpm (98 V6 )

this entire thread isn't enough?

it's really easy. just buy the pre-made resistor/led/holder like i did and it's
basically just stripping and crimping. should only take a few minutes.

Performance wise, I don't think we'll see any real improvment. Im just of the opinion that a higher VTEC acuation point would be more pronounced. The reason we dont feel VTEC is because when it hits, the motor hasn't free'd itself up enough to really give a pronounced response.

The cam profile for F23's are optimized for low end torque and midrange response, as is true with the VTEC lobes. If you were to modify the minimum RPM actuation point, then yes, the you MIGHT feel a more pronounced engagement, but it will be at the cost of losing low end and mid-range torque. In my accord, it's easy to feel and hear VTEC engage if I'm at WOT below 2K rpm. It's not a drastic, but it's there. Most notably the sound that goes from a bogging four cylinder, to a low rpm throaty boxer motor-like sound.
