i haz no photoshop and got the 50mm lens today, 1.8. indoor portraits aren't coming out well but then again, it has been only 24 hours since i really got into it

Set your Av mode to f1.8 and then shoot. It worked for me . Btw the city on the river bank is a great pic. Awesome work! man I really need to get out in the cold and start taking pics with my Rebel T1i

haha cold weather really does not bother me to be honest. rain and snow me no likey but thats about it.
