I'm buying a used set of type 1. The top ones are from a 03 TL which says will fit a 02 accord. But why is there a difference in the front coilover (the bottom part)? Will it fit my 02 accord? Thanks.

Drive 2 hours?

How much of a deal are you getting though for the used set? Mileage on them? Because you can get a new set for $600 or even lower.

I got it for under $400. I took a chance. I have no way of evaluating it but it looks legit as far as i know. The guy has kids and went back to oem.

Question: Is there a way to measure the drop before installing it or do I have to install it first and then change the height?

When i installed mine, i measured the entire length of the coil/spring/setup whatever you want to call it and i measured the size of my oem ones. and lowered it how many inches lower i wanted to go. Not sure if this makes sense.
But if anything install and if you don't like the drop( want to go lower) doesn't take any longer then 30minutes to do all 4 sides.

Thanks. That's good to know. I'm only looking to go about 2" front and 1.75" back. As I understand it, I only need to do the bottom ring and mount and not touch the spring ones right?

Edit: Did I mention that this is an awesome forum with many friendly members? :)

I payed the same amount for mine. Before you put them on clean them up real good around the threads. I bought mine with a broken stud so i replaced it with one from the oem top hat

You're going to want to go alot lower then that trust me haha, that's a little baby drop.
Yes just loosen the bottom ring and either spin the entire assembly with your hand OR you can turn the upper most "red" ring to lower it. If i'm not mistaken you spin it clockwise to lower it.

Haha, thanks. I think i'd like a 1 finger gap, whatever height that is. It translated to 2" on my old integra (until it got stolen).

Now I have to find someone to install it for me :)
