Its his word against your wits, basically. If I was selling the head and was actually being honest about a good job done, I would have papers and proof that it was either CC'ed or at least compression tested.

Having the motor not start is BS.

If you look at any stock head, the marks left from sand casting REQUIRE material to be removed in order to polish. If it was for my personal build, I would have it tested on HIS expense BEFORE buying it.

Does he at least have flowbench papers to back the porting up???

Good luck.

Scrap it, ill get my own valves and do the head work myself. Im sick of this head s*** from this guy. I guessed I kind of rushed into it like Egi7 said in this thread. Im goin to retry buyin a head unless Jefften wants to sell me his. I almost have all the parts except for the ecu, tcu, and timing belt(well we know how thats goin with Darkside). Hopefully ill have it done by the East Coast meet.

THE WAY THIS COMBUSTION CHAMBERS WERE DONE DIDNT REALLY LOWER THE COMPRESSION

this makes no sense... only way u can up the CR in the chambers is to change the valves....

As for the pulleys, the only thing thats important is that the crank pulley has 1/2 as many teeth as the cam gears. Thats it, thats all. Count em up, if it works out, great :)

not the crank pulley... i think u mean the lower timing gear

I'm pretty sure your right Roy...KiddEx I think you would have been better off to switch to manual tranny...before you did the G23...

You are right, they are not the same thing.

The lower timing gear, (what I was referring to as the the crank pulley since we were simply tanking about timing belt issues), is what the timing belt sits on. The crank pulley is actually the pulley for the accessory belts. One has nothing to do with the other, other than the fact that they have the same axis of rotation :)
