hey guys, so my grandmother has given me her old 98 accord 4dr V6 and its a big step up from the 1990 corolla sedan i had before. There's a lot i want to do to it, but first i am contemplating what to do first paint it (clear coat is gone on the hood) or a new set of wheels (running stock wheels). I also want to get a lip kit in the near future... so i'll be checking the for sale section for some of the goodies i'm looking for.

woot! 626 represent! what city you in?

Glendora... next to west covina and san dimas

-as for the suspension, i'm a little iffy on lowering it, you see i'm still to new to a lot of this... it seems to not be on the easier side of the DIY's and as for blackhouse idk what that is... i have done fogs before but the wiring was a lot easier just connect to + and ground and then run switch through grommet in firewall... but after countless pages of your guys fog threads and with the civic fogs im a little uneasy, i have a set of unopened blazer square fogs and i'll see how it looks. If not i'll prob buy some civic fogs of eGay. either way really excited

oh yeah and im thinking about replacing my honda emblem ( some punk swiped from grams:furious:) with one of those red ones ( acuras at my college love those), but it seems a little ricey so what ev

Glendora huh?? you might see me driving around someday man around that area cuz my girlfriend goes to citrus college, and sometimes i pick her up.

First of all, as many people have said, start with blackhoused and drop first. Blackhoused was my first mod too. You can see DIY blackhoused here

Second of all, drop the suspension first. Do it right from the first time. We suggest you to get coilover because you will be able to adjust the height of your ride, but you can always start with some good lowering springs and aftermarket shocks. Just go to the suspension review thread here. One thing you should really understand: lowered car on stock wheels is better than a car with wheels on stock height.

I welcome you to the board and to the great So-Cal ninja crew..... If you have any question just ask around, but u gotta search first on your own....

Here is the official welcome from the So-Cal ninja crew
