Non-rice engine dress up?

The best way i've found to keep my engine clean is to just spray a whole can of tire foam on it and let it sit for an hour. Clean most of it off by hand to minimize using water, then rinse lightly. Takes about 20 min of work and it will look brand new everytime. Plus, it seems to stay clean alot longer. Everytime i've bought a car, i've done this and my engine bay looked absolutely new. You only half to leave it for awhile if your engine bay is really bad, has alot of grime, oil, etc. My old talon had a few oil leaks, you could see them lifting and running off. But yeah, this is the best way i've found, as well as the easiest, which is rare.

What did you use the megauirs for? To give the hoses a 'wet' look? If so i might have to try that trick cause everytime i clean my bay it looks all dried out....I've heard of people rubbing clean motor oil on parts after they clean it, is that a good idea?

i wipe it off i dont let it sit on there so it looks like everything is clean not shiny. I dont know about motor oil though

you still have to cover the main electrical stuff and headers right>?

what if u actually have a Header, can u still use the tire shine on that

I was wondering the same thing!!!...that tire shine seems logical but i don't know if it will affect my header

why would u use tire shine on headers? its only meant for plastics and rubbers
