Non-rice engine dress up?

I have nothing done to my motor besides an AEM SRI. I will probably do an aftermarket header and exhaust and probably ignition wires and plugs, thats about it. I was just wondering what everyone thinks I should do to dress up the engine bay without being too ricey. I'm not trying to show it off, I'd just like it to be impressively clean and organized when I pop the hood for any reason (begging for a jump? lol). Here's what I've got so far, please feel free to add with links to how to's if possible:

Degrease/Clean
Polish or Paint Valve Cover or replace with Powdercoated one
Hood Dampers instead of hood prop
Color matching Plug Wires
Polish exhaust heatshield?
OBX Colored Silicone Rad hoses, other vacuum hoses?
Black Wire loom over various wires run under hood (air susp./audio pwr)
Black Zip Ties w/excess cut to organize wires
Big 3 Grounding upgrade with nice looking 0/1 gauge wire


Anything else? Open to ideas!

If you go with wire loom, definately go with the black, no colors.....The hood shocks are a good idea too. I was planning on getting some but they would put too much pressure on my CF hood.

hhm.... i think u covered just abt everything for a clean and non-rice engine bay.... just make sure u dun use any stricking color and u'll be fine

To me, first, keep it very clean. Second, don't use alot of color. Like vacuum hoses, rad. hoses, etc. Then either keep everything aluminum stock or polish it, don't paint much, etc.

Well, i meant outside of VC or Engine covers. Like painting your themostat housing or your alternator. You get the point.

i think i might do my valve covers gold like dueces..

you can also pick up some booties for the resevoirs, maybe some polished radiator or oil caps. Ive also been contemplating tucking my wires if possible

how do i keep my engine bay clean like that of Du3ce's?.....mine is really dirty and greasy

clean it with some degreaser I guess, my car is white so I can notice all the dirt but I just some hot water, soap and tons of patience...
