Oil & Oil Filter Recommendation

My car is almost reaching its miles for an oil change. Just wondering what kind of oil & oil filter do you guys use or what do you guys recommend on using?

i go for the 5 quarts and filter deal at advanced auto....castrol gtx high mileage is all ive used in my 2 cars...cant complain

I'm currently using Castrol Syntec, but why not royal purple? my cousin's using it on his E39 BMW and it's amazing + i heard ppl talk about it on the track that it's one of the best high performance motor oils out there.

I just switched to Syntec myself, love the stuff so far. But I too am curious as to why not Royal Purple? I used it for 2 years before recently switching as it was getting expensive and Syntec was on sale lol. BTW, I use Honda OEM oil filters.
