I'm currently using Castrol Syntec, but why not royal purple? my cousin's using it on his E39 BMW and it's amazing + i heard ppl talk about it on the track that it's one of the best high performance motor oils out there.

IMO by personal experience, Royal Purple is overrated sludge in a bottle. I used it once, luckily I didn't pay for it lol. I only put 3k on it and when i changed it had already sludged up. I recomment you stick to Castrol oil.

I've been using Castrol Synthetic with a Bosch/Fram filter (whatever one comes with the 5 quart special).

Honda Oil filter's are rebranded FRAM filters. and Frams suck in comparison to other filters like Wix. Can get a Wix filter off of Amazon.

Anyone use Amsoil 5W-20 or the pricest 0W-20?

Awesome video. Very.....technical.

I'll be doing an oil change on my accord very soon as the dealer didn't know the last time it was changed, oil does look good though but its more for peace of mind. I always use K&N filters on my cars, just for the nut on the bottom. Makes life easier and I've never had problems with them. For oil I usually go with Valvoline high mileage, but might try Mobil 1 this time.
