be like it is
i was going to check the stamp on the tires on the car since theyre rotted to **** around the rim.

my new ones were made earlier this year...i think 32nd week-ish.

before i bought the new ones, i was looking for cooper supertouring sle's which came on the car in the size i wanted...turns out...they were part of a recall back in like 00. that explains why no one carries em anymore. my buddy still has some on his car...should check those out too.

but yeah...my current tires have about 50% tread left...even though theyre no good any longer.

Yes, it's an issue and you don't want to be rockin' old tires.

But I think the vid blows things a lil out of proportion. If you can confirm that the tire isn't a re-tread, you're good. Just don't be running dry-rotted tires, man. Pretty easy. lol.

If they look like they're in good shape, and they aren't retreads, I'd say don't worry about it.

That said, I'm not responsible if your tires blow out and you crash and die now. :hide:
