We're not going to make Socal specific rules. Bottom line, it's up to the seller, no matter where they live, if they want to ship. End of story.

I know what you mean. I live in F'ing Ohio, where NOTHING happens in the car scene when compared with California. You can't walk 10 miles in any direction in SoCal without happening upon a custom shop, etc. And here I can travel for an hour and not find a shop that would do a 6spd swap. Not to mention there's meets/shows everywhere all the time out there.

Anyway, shipping isn't that hard. It's just easier not to when you have a huge local market. BUT...that's the way it is. What can I say but move to the west coast. lol

I feel your pain, fellow Ohioan.

And I agree with the OP, I can't STAND when they won't ship, especially when I'm more than willing to pay shipping no problem.

Frustrating indeed.

i mean i dont really care i was just giving a suggestion ...your right its up to the seller like you said but when you think about it if we find a solution for this, ppl will stop posting useless "can you plz ship ill pay" posts in the forsale section ....it does seem unfair but oh well it is what it is, but is their some type of solution that we can come up with?....i mean you said " Plus I think I have a pretty good relationship with a lot of the socal people here, and I know a lot of them would work with me if I really wanted something, and they know I'd do the same for them" we dont all have that type of relationship but i think we all have the same level of respect for each other to look out for each other....maybe some of the socal peeps can post their reasons for not shipping idk w.e. like you said if its meant to be it will happen.....that grey hound stuff sounds interesting gonna have to look into that let us know if you get any info on it from your friend....

Probably the ordeal of going to the post office and shipping it off.

Don't know how many times I have made the same complaint about the "SoCal LoCal Pickup" situation with parts there.

I've already decided that I am just going to fly over from time to time, and jack the parts off of the cars that I see that have something I want.

Gil's car is first.
Roy's is next
Keith's after that.

Least I have the courtesy to let them know they are going to get jacked.

If there are any parts that anyone has seen that they would like from either the car's I have mentioned or any other cars, let me know and I will put together a "shopping list".

That is all.

Ok, so just in case there is Some Reason that someone takes what I just said seriously....I'm joking.

It would be great if the SoCal would consider shipping, I was aware of the greyhound option as well, I have used it in the past, and item size isn't really an issue. Hopefully this will option the 'free trade' market between SoCal and the rest of the market(North America). :haysm9:
