i dont know man, i think you're going to need to seal the back of the light up because ANYTHING can get inside and ruin your retro. Headlights are supposed to be sealed. the black rubber ring you took off before you started.... use that to cover the back of the projector and then use silicone or even better... butyl tape to seal up any remaining openings.

So let me get this straight...

you're not planning on sealing the back of the headlight to avoid condensation, and you're praying that they don't need to be rotationally adjusted?

Re: UPDATED: Longest retro ever...

I think the original seal + plus trimming if needed + CA glue = win, at least that's what I'm going to try first. I thinkt he same part from 96-00 Civic headlights work well too... I think I read that somewhere, just throeing it out there.

CA glue bonds rubber to plastic with insane strength. That's how you "beadlock" R/C tires to the wheels so they don't roll off the rim.

This is looking to be one of the cleanest retro's i've seen. And actually the way it looks with the amber painted too.

I'm really digging the painted amber strips... I didn't even think of that. I like those lights there though... I'm gonna keep them on my retro, plus a few upgrades.

+1 for super clean retro though.

i'll keep that glue in mind, even though i figured out something super clean i think, because the original rubber pieces dont fit because i cut the little bezel thing out for the projector to clear the housing.

Well what are you asking exactly? Are you asking us to point out what you did wrong?
