Hey guys,

I wanted to ask for some recommendations on a good brand and what color to buy to repaint the faded reflector in the reverse light. Here's what it looks like. Sorry for the crappy picture, but you can see all the black spots:

I looked on the passenger side and the paint is not chrome; it's more of a matte white-ish color. Thanks in advance.

The problem is that all those chrome paint never comes out shiny. It just looks like silver paint. I think real chrome is electroplated on.

One possible solution is to use automotive grade chrome stickers inside your light. But I would sand and thoroughly clean it first so that the sticker will stick well. - Just a thought?

+1 on chrome paint not being all that shiny. It works well though...when I did my redhousing the painters tape took off some of the chrome in the reflector I had masked off when I went to peel off the tape. I sprayed it with chrome paint and I actually liked it better because it dispersed the light more evenly at night, thus filling the space better.

Probably not explaining that every well...hope it makes some sense.

Chrome spray paint will work just fine for what you are planning on doing.

Heat up the lights to 200 degress for like 7-10 minutes or more and repaint then seal it up. Worked great for me and looks brand new now.
