Nice Vimal.

Since I've been out of the loop, I have to ask: What ever happened with Brad's roof? Did it come out like he expected? Have you checked it out or talked to him at all?

man, its been what... 4-5 days and the roof was already beginning to rust (while parked inside the garage at all times) just from the moisture in the air. came down to look at my roof this morning to see it looking brown. so i had to go buy a rust removing solution from home depot, cleaned off all the rust, and sprayed the roof with SEM Black Self Etching Primer/Sealer. Im going to use an alternative method to lay the CF down that was brought to my attention by Brad. had i known of that method before, i wouldnt have had to sand my roof down to metal in the first place, since it was already black. o'well.

anyways, i didnt get any pics of the rusted roof but here's a couple of me masking up the whole car and covering it, and the roof after it was painted black again. going to let the paint cure overnight and begin the laying the CF down tomorrow. tomorrow will be an exciting day :D

^ Quinn - lol, you can't exactly make a DIY for something like this. People would be most likely to f*ck up their cars or not have the balls to do this in the first place. You need to be a true master to take on a task like this, and not just a bolt-on-genius. I've always wanted to know how to lay down CF, but a DIY isn't a place to learn how to succeed in that science. Takes much more than can be written here efficiently to understand how to do it. Details are crucial.

In for results man, I know you were planning on it - now finally going to do it :D.

Going to be one-of-a-kind. Awesome!

well, im not the first to do this on the accord, Brad (bdeitmeyer) has done it. i think i'll be the 2nd guy to do it to the 6g accord.

and to be honest, i learned by watching many many many DIYs out there, im just confident in my abilities to do things myself, after watching sooo many guides and videos, i gave it a shot and sure enough, it was something i could do.

Cool project and awesome progress man, I have no doubt this will come out looking very nice with your skills. Too bad about the roof, but live and learn I guess, and it should have no bearing on the final product. Looking forward to updates. :)

this method worked to a certain extent, there was still some lifting i had to deal with but not as much. also, i only did one layer of epoxy today because it just took so damn long that by the time it was tacky enough to apply another layer, i was shot and it was getting cold out. so im going to let the first layer go to full cure, then do a light sanding on it and add 2 more layers tomorrow. probably not going to get the glass on by Saturday so i'll have to borrow my dads car early next week to get to work.

anyways, pics from today...
