Judging by your dealings with that company up till now (and I hope for your sanity's sakes I'm wrong) they will most likely be F22 items
Just read your build and I totally envy you guys with boost.
Also a few questions seeing as you guys are in the know, (well at least appear to be) whats the benifits of having a crank girdle??
I was wondering if it had something to do with bottom end strength in high revving engines??
Yes. The relative mass of a rotating object increases with rpm's and diameter. So, a long stroke engine like the f23 is going to see more load on the crank/bottom end than a shorter stroke engine with the same mass internals at the same rpm. The girdle helps keep the bottom end from flexing. When you are dealing with clearances in the thousandths, you need the load distribution of a block girdle.
Does the F23 have one fitted and if not could you easily fit one from say an H22A much the same as you can fit a B18C one to a B20 Block??
The f23 has one of the strongest girdles that Honda has put on a 4 cylinder engine. It has more cross-bracing as well as thicker bracing than most other Honda engines. Plenty of guys with fully built boosted f23's are still using the oem girdle without issues.
