If you are willing to drop in another motor, then do it.

If you are planning on using that as a daily, then drop in a KA. If not, Go SR or RB

open diff?

my buddy bought one in similar condition. that thing has so many problems from getting beat on its whole life. Don't buy a modded car, most likely if they're getting rid of a project then its usually cause they can't afford to fix whats wrong with it.

this is true with the modded cars in general ... just stay away from them

now lets think...why would someone want to trade a "desirable" "fun" car for a boring, dependable accord? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

and 50% of the time, the reason a person gives to "want to get something newer/bigger/different" is a lie. they're looking to get rid of a headache.

I would trade, but thats because i could give a **** aboit miles or head gasket issues since i would just change it myself. I would ask for like 500$ and trade to make the new car reliable.

This.

I would never trade my 240 for an accord.

ya kinda missed my point :lawl:

in the grand scheme of things, bigger than an "accord" vs a "240sx," people trading "cars that need work" for a dependable car--whether they'll admit the true amount of work required or not--is a HUGE red flag unless you want a project.

example: hop on CL...search "turbo" under cars for sale - by owner. how many $2500 integra owners on there looking to trade for a camry/accord/stock honda product? who wouldn't want a turbo car in exchange for their stock civic? emotionally, at least. practically, you're in for a world of hurt :skurred:

another red flag is when someone says they want to sell the car "to clear up space in the driveway" or they "want to get rid of it before winter" but then want to trade for something else.

in the end, the only real deciding factor is if you are willing to put the work in... if you are then i say go ahead. me personally, if im trading my DD for that specific 240, i would advise against it, BUT if its my project car, then yea, the 240 is the better deal hands down, its all about how much work you are willing to put forth
