Sweet, I went back to my oem awhile ago. Gonna have to dig through the garage for the other piece.

aite maybe I jumped the gun when I said top end pulled like my v2. I still fell a little restriction. Either its because of the paper filter or the small *** hole that the airbox has.

I think if you guys wanna make it even better, instead of cutting the snorkel to fit, dremel a whole in the airbox to make it fit. Also find a high flow drop in filter. Imma try these an see if I get any gains.

heres a pic after I hacked off the tube coming out of the snorkel:

these are probably the two main bottlenecks thatll not let it flow like an aftermarket cai:

1. The inlet for the airbox is tiny.

But you can probably dremel the inlet to a CAI pipe size.

2. The stock filter is restrictive as hell. Buy a K&N drop in filter.

3. Also try to turn the snorkel in a a position so it makes ram air, which means facing the bumper. I positioned it wrong:

Ever thought about wrapping the AEm intake with the heat shield wrap stuff? Still doesn't solve the carb sticker problem, but it might help the header heatsoak problem.
