Excellent idea on this. Maybe sometime do a write-up on this for us?

Strut spikes look killer. Hopefully look forward to a painted engine bay :)

Maybe you could do a small group buy on the actual metal pieces you made??!

This looks awesome. I had this idea in my head for a while, but I don't have access to metal benders.. Only welders

A pic I found while researching. Those boxes are so nicely done.

Haha nice, I thought that's what they looked like! I seen plenty of them over in Oklahoma a bit ago lol.
For sure, that's where I got the idea actually. I saw a custom 18 wheeler sporting 'em and I copped a set!
How do you close your hood? From looking at the pics it doesn't seem like you'll have clearance.

Very nice work on the custom fab by the way. I really wanna do this to my car as well.
Thanks duuuu. The hood closes, no way I'd take the time to build these and not think about the hood haha. I built these about as tall as you can get before they interfere with the hood.
Sick work as always man.

Thanks Drowzee!

For sure, I have tons of pictures I've taken along the way, but the limiting factor for most DIY guys is the tooling required to get the right bends. I agree, a shaved/painted bay would look ridiculous, but I'm not painting it just yet. Maybe in the near future though :)

Thanks man. The issue with producing these is that the set I built was designed to clear my custom UCA's, so a CG with stock UCA's would most likely require different clearances and a different filler box shape. I'd really have to have a car here to build them to fit right out of the box.

Yeah those are beautiful. That's by far the best execution I've seen to date, all the pics I've come across had some weird/unnatural looking tower mods. No way that guy can run a hood though!

Started working on the driver side today. I stopped at the last pic, but it still needs a little bit of fine-tuning. It should look pretty stock once it's painted.

^Not a chance! There is another spot on the back of the strut tower that may become a problem in the future, but for now, it's fine. I know those of you who have the stock UCA's also have a spot on the front of the tower that hits, so to be 100% effective in eliminating contact, you'd have to notch that portion as well.
