JB weld will crack, it sucks and its definitly a bandaid fix. I would do what 1andonly recommended. Buying a small copper pipe that will thread into the hole, then tap the other end so you can plug in your sensor. It would have been better to just weld the sensor into the head and make a permenate fix until the sensor went bad, the head is junk anyways though. But JB weld is not really a good fix.

He would need to install a helicoil or timesert if he enlarged the hole. Not sure how well those hold 15psi of fluid pressure...

I've personally used helicoil's several times at work. I honestly don't believe that 15psi would cause any failure. Helicoil's are awesome when it comes to fixing stripped holes. There is a company I use for nuts and bolts called Fastenal that currently has another form of epoxy kind of like JB weld, but I've actually used this stuff to drill and tap a mount for a pillow block bearing and it's held for over 8 months (cross my fingers!). Either one of these could be a good solution to your problem.

You should take it to a welder, have him weld up the hole, then take it to a machine shop and have them re tap it. It will as good as new, no heilcoil, no timesert, no new head. . .

People have brought us all sorts of fvck ups like this.

This is what I would do too - best solution hands down. We did this few times at the shop too, work like a charm - nice thing is my machine guy did the whole welding and tapping for us.
