Oh yeah just so that you are aware you don't have to use high-heat paint on the engine covers. A lot of people use standard automotive paint or just plastic paint. That way you have more choice of colors. I have been thinking about wrinkle coating mine or the front valve cover.

or if you're still worried about it, do like im doing right now... use high temp primer, regular color of any kind, and high temp clear.

im doing mine right now the same way im doing my interior pieces so i should have a super slick gloss gunmetal look in my engine bay soon. im staring to get lazy with the project now though because it a lot of elbow grease to wetsand, rubbing compound, polishing compound, cleaner wax, polish, and wax every single piece.

i just got done doing the whole painting process on my aem intake tubing...it was blue and i painted it black with two coats of shinyness...it looks awsome and im using the same paint color on my valve cover so it will all match and be awshum

than or the input guys. and i was going to use regular plastic paint for it but i couldnt find flatr red anywhere, so i just used header paint.

looks like you did a thorough job w/ the painting, thumbsup there. not a fan of the flat look though personally

I was going to paint mine the same color then realized that my ****ing silver H poped off and is laying in the highway somewhere:thinking:

i used a gloss paint on mine and it puts a little more shine in there. but it really depends on personal opinion

Looks like you did a good job.

+1 on getting an intake to clean the look up.

And personally I'm not afan of the flat red. It looks really light, almost faded in my opinion. If it was a darker looking red it might look nicer.

But good job. having things how YOU want them to look is all you can ask for! :thumbsup:
