I'm going to update this post with some of the small projects i've been working on for the ride.
Here's the first.
1. Custom OEM/Type-R grill.
I have an ebay type-r style grill in there now. The fitment is horrible and it's rattling alot, so i decided to take the OEM which has perfect fitment and modify it.
2. Headlight ram air scoop
This project is happening because i have more headlight components than i know what to do with. Once i start tracking my car i will put this puppy to use. Going to fab up a fiberglass or CF tube that acts as a ram air scoop with the air filter totally enclosed. This will take air from outside the engine bay and bring it directly into the intake allowing the coolest air possible. Rigth now i have a SRI and it's all warm engine bay air hopefully this will help a little.
3. Wings West Sedan Kit modification and install
Update:
Doing the rough cuts and test mounting
Front lip fit nicely with only minor modification
will be working on the sides today if time permits
The length of the WW sedan sides are 77" and the coupe skirts are 74 5/8" so i need to cut 2 3/8" from somewhere....
started work on the rear and side skirts.
had to cut 2 3/8" off the side skirts. I also removed the end caps so that i cold weld them back on to the cut ends. Hopefully going to get to a place that sells plastic welders this evening.
The rear was too wide since it's for a sedan, I trimmed about 4-5 inches from the center. I still have to test fit and possibly shave a bit more, I wanted to be conservative with the cutting.
Side skirts are welded and sanded, will still require final wet sanding and prep when the car goes in for paint.
They would have been on today but it has been raining since yesterday
