i believe he is referring to the clear vinyl "skins" you put over cd's to keep from getting scratched. they're meant to be left on the cd when you play it. the only drawback being they themselves get scratched, and they aren't cheap. (and obviously don't work too well in a slot loader)

I thikn they're called d-skins at walmart

Hehe, all are welcome.. just think it's funny that he's on a 6th gen accord site... it's not like the cars really changed that much in 2 gens.

Also, never heard of those skins... I guess if you really take pride in your CD collection, invest in a an mp3 player or just burn a copy of it or take care of your stuff. If you don't jam the damn thing with those, you probably end up wearing the motor bearing and/or brushes out in the HU motor playing something with that kind of mass and almost certain horrible balance.

if it is one of those things you might be able to get the company to comp you a new cd player. did the packaging specifically say they wouldn't affect playback? could have a case

lol. note that i have a 4th gen accord guys :p

i had my stock accord one in there. and switch it out to your guy's 6th gen 6 disk radio.

but yeah. it was stupid to put it in there. but i was waiting at the DOT for my friend and he was taking too long so it had the protector on there and i just stuck it in.

and later i was trying to switch out the cd's and i was like man.! it's stuck..

What's a CD protector? Like a sleeve or slim jewel case? I can't imagine you could easily put something larger than a CD in there.
you know... they have a forum for you... http://www.cb7tuner.com

Ahhh CB7's, my first car! The memories! And I see you have almost exactly the same model as mine, just a 92 instead of a 90. I miss my car and CB7tuner.com

lol. i'm on Cb7tuner.com.

but the reason why i'm on here is because i have a stock 6th gen 6disk cd player IN my 4th gen. think of it as a stock upgrade.. :D

i have a ipod connected to the car. but i like the CD option. but now i can't even play that.

and yeah the CD's are a protective screen for the CD's so it don't scratch

hmm ive taken my 6 cd apart after i replaced it with aftermarket....it is possible to take it apart with out breaking it just losing some screws on the top and it should come off. From there it exposes the cd tray, you should be able to stick like a screw driver behind the cd and force it out just make sure the arm that normally pushes the cd's it out of the way. I don't have a step by step cuz i destroyed my OEM cd changer(display was dead)

well i wasn't actually getting a cd out so i don't know how strong the arm is that normally ejects them but when you look in it, its just a whole and you will see the slots for each cd. as for getting them out...i just now thought about that. I don't know how you would get the lower cds out. I never did actual doctor work on my cd player....continue doin a little research haha but the first cd would be easy to get out since its right at the top of the unit.
