I wouldn't do it, I've personally used the eibach pro kit springs (1.5 inch drop) with stock shocks and I didn't realize that my bump stops were being destroyed until I took them off to install my coilovers. Yea the ride was OK I guess but compared to the quality and durability of my coilovers, they were crap. I will never again drop a car on stock shocks period.

Do it right the first time or learn the hard way.

If you use your stock shocks you will blow them out very quickly

wrong. if he runs on stock shocks he will not blow them out quickly, but over time he will. I was dropped on S-Techs with stock V6 shocks/struts and lasted for a solid year and a half, no problems at all.

to the OP, its ok to run on stock shocks IF its temporary until you gather enough funds within a fair amount of time, then upgrade. if you want to air on the side of caution just save up and shell out a little more cash for aftermarket shocks.

most people end up unsatisfied after buying springs and struts ... you either run into clearance issues or your not happy with the drop ... the solution is a set of full coilovers ... you can get a set for a bit more than buying new springs and shocks

niether of you are wrong or right there is no time frame for the shocks to blow. ive seen people go up to 6 months on stock struts with lowering springs and not blow them. then again ive also seen stock shocks blow in 2 weeks after lowering springs were installed. bottom line is they will blow eventually and just avoid the situation in the first place. i can take apart my suspension with my eyes close but its still a lot of work to install springs and then go back and install shocks i still rather do it all together even tho its not like i pay any labor prices or anything. but then again i would invest in coilovers in the first place like the others are saying.

function and form, ksports both are good

if you have the s techs go with eibach pro dampers. i have them. wish I could go a bit lower (they aren't adjustable) but they ride great and I love the way they handle

I have S Tech, and after 8 months my one shot started leaking and other front shock started acting weird lol was getting uneven tread wear on the front since it wasn't working right. I replaced them with 03 CL front stock shocks, since I got them for free and they have been working great though the front now sits higher lol. Its been a year now and everything still works fine and back ones are fine too, and had 7 ppl in my car ride for 1 hour the other day fine too lol. Good luck

i honestly would rather buy Tein's over k-sports. I've heard tons of horror stories about the quality of ksports since buying mine. as far as i know no one on here has had any problems with them but most of us don't push them so that could be why we haven't had any issues.

personally i'd try to stay away from FF and Ksports, anything made in china is usually a questionable investment unless the price is right and you accept the risk that the quality may not be comparable to more reputable brands.
