I need some help on trouble shooting why the thermostat gauge is almost at the highest reading on the instrument panel. Troubleshooted the fan fuse and it appears to be fine. The fans only work with the AC on. What could be the problem?

Fan switch assuming you gave a 4cyl it is on top of the thermo housing. This could be the culprit.

I had the same problem and replaced the switch under the distributor and it did not fix the problem. I then replaced the one on the top of the thermostat housing and it fixed it!!!

The sensor under the dizzy is not for the fan, it is for the ecm.
