Question: How well do you all think ceiling-mounted trunk subs would work? Mostly to save floorspace...

If you had a custom trunk ceiling installed, you'd definitely have mounting points. I definitely agree with your point on rattling, unless you could tie away those wires and do some form of dampening...

^That's kinda cool. Simple, clean, and at night the spot lighting adds some elegance.

Thanks mang!! It's wierd being able to use the trunk again!!

And to add to the rear deck mounted drivers, the trunk springs also get in the way without some serious mods.

I was thinking about getting some interior LED strips, with a music function for fun. think it'd look okay if I put 2 mounted up top in the trunk? they probably wont be as bright as CCFLs but I don't know any opinions?

I'll post some pictures of my trunk later tonight, I have a blue 48 SMD square mounted up top at the moment its pretty bright for how small it is (and is also independently wired), and the trunk light is just a red brake light LED i had laying around.

Picture added:

That's a dank trunk right there man. If you kidnapped and threw me in there, I wouldn't be so upset.

How did you get that spot lighting? Care to post any more pics/diy on it?

I've got a cardomain site, www.cardomain.com/id/lashlee . You can see the car as well as my truck. The lights are really simple, just under cabinet lights from Lowe's. It's easy since they are 12v lights to begin with and use a transformer to work off of 110v. The hardest part was making the tray that bolts under the rear deck. I can post some pics in the next few days if you want me to.
