It's funny how 75% of people start projects on here and never finish them. Why don't you just show us when you're done instead of wasting forum space?

Ive posted pics of all my parts so far on this thread they are also at my photobucket TurboAV688

Started with battery relocation today and the electronics. Im going to have to do a hack and tap job on the VAFC since mine didnt come with a harness. If anyone has done this before on a V6 EX 2dr Coupe any insight would be great.
Also im going to be taking apart the dash tomorrow so i can dynomat my firewall. Im sure ill figure it out but if anyone has experience here shed some light please.

We also took my SRI and Headers out today. Im going to be Cleaning the headers and getting them ready to get rid of soon. If there is any interest in them they are $75bucks. Im then going to cut the SRI and use it as a CAI for the turbo setup.

Tomorrow we plan to Start on the engine bay. We want to take the heads off and clean everything up. Making sure everything is working correctly. I also plan on painting my valve covers polishing the intake manifold and doing dress up things like that. I just ordered a really nice looking Mugen Sway bar in black that will look sick. Id like to see some J30's dressed up if anyone knows where to look.

Im gonna upload all my pics from today and post my progress in a few hours it is a saturday night so i dont know how much ill get posted but ill do my best.

Thanks again for everyones advice and support.

you never answered my question as to where in relation to the engine bay, the turbo is going to sit... judging from your initial pic of the headers it looks like under your seat

as for what Justin said, dude you are a noob on this forum, take what he's saying with respect because he's been around this forum and these cars much longer than you and knows whats going down. if you piss him off you're going to piss off any/everyone who might try to help you when **** hits the fan (and it will because turbo's are a bitch and a half)

my advice for you, if you want to gain some sort of rapport with the more educated members of this site, post everything you plan on doing in one solid concise post. most of us have the impression that you're just stepping into this with little to no preconceived notion of what all it entails. i'm looking at building a EW civic, which i have yet to even get in my possession, and i've been up and down the threads of another forum looking at stuff, asking questions, getting opinions, etc from guys who build these things for a living.

also what is your budget, does it exist in solid cash form or is it a paycheck to paycheck thing? if you can't spend the extra hundred bucks on sleeving what are you going to do for your ignition, timing, etc to prevent detonation and keep your engine running after it gets tuned (assuming you know a reputable tuner to do that for you and that you've got some idea of what software to run to tune your engine since your VAFC hack job isn't going to cover all of your bases)

we're hard on you because from a back seat point of view it looks like you're a little kid in a candy store. don't get me wrong, i'm a big fan of asking simple or stupid questions (dependent on how greg reads it) and getting hard-lined answers so you know what you're up against.... i've tossed around a couple thousand ideas for my EW build before even taking a crack at it, but we don't know that you've even had a second idea in your head other than going turbo ASAP.

you're a patient and deserving kid and i'm sure you'll come out of this okay (should your pocketbook be able to afford maintaining a FI engine) just take a step back and see what we're saying rather than blowing by our advice and questions without a second thought. we don't want to be proven wrong by you.... thats not how forums work, we want you to build your car the right way the first time and set the bar for all of us to look up to

.....I just ordered a really nice looking Mugen Sway bar in black that will look sick.....

Do you even know what you ordered? :eh:

Sway bar goes on the underside of the car.... one in front and one in back unless your Andy then you only have a functional one up front...

Seeing as you were talking about dressing up the engine bay I am going to assume you are referring to a strut bar.....

I'm still waiting to see the built engine or internals you bought for it. Along with your push rods.

If you built the engine recently every thing should be clean and working. You would just be throwing away 150$ for new head gaskets. If you do take them off, take pictures of the pistons.

Im at the garage now, i was just told the same thing you said mraw112 so i dont know if we are going to be taking the heads off or not. I ran into a problem for battery relocation...

There are no holes on the firewall passenger side to put the new power cable thru if anyone has done this before let me know. We were thinking about maybe running it outside the car but that leaves questions about the durability of the wire...

Also if anyone has removed the backseats in a 2 door coupe please let me know or if there is a thread talking about removing the back seats that would be great. Ok back to work got the cpu with me so any q's or answers just post up thanks.
