I was responding to what 9450erick said. Yes the tubular is better but the difference between the two is minimal unless you're making more than 300 horse and most people on here are not shooting for 300+ anyways. I'm just saying log= 100 to $150 on ebay(this is what I did), tubular=800 to $1500. So why pay 700 to 1400 more for 20 horsepower.

There are also cases where some log manifolds spool faster because they keep more heat in them. Especially ceramic coated ones. They are definitely more durable too. Either way unless your trying to make big power or just want it for bling it is not worth it IMO.

i dont know about other people but i would really like to make some impressive #'s on our f23. Our f23 has a lot to offer, yet a lot of us say its a pos. Its not going to be cheap to make this motor be a quick one, b/c of the low support it gets, (and thats why ppl say its a pos b/c it takes so much money to make it fast) but i know our f23 can impress with a legit setup. im not trying to skimp on stuff.

idk but ive been looking at all the great builds and they for sure don't use log manifolds. those are for noobs barely getting into the game of turbo charging. not saying the log is not a good style it does have some good points to it, but i dont think thats a manifold for me. i was thinking more along the lines of a shorty or a twin scroll top mount
^ yeah that is what i was saying. log manifold are good in many ways. cheap spool much faster than tubular, last longer but the downfall is lack of power. thats what im aiming for power. i want to put down at least 450whp. i know that's going to be hard and cost quite a bit but i want to turn some heads

I never knew Spoolin made them for our F23... I don't think I've EVER seen it listed.

I'd get a MAP tubular manifold if it cost between $500 and $700. Those are some serious quality welds and thorough design, I haven't seen them much better than that. However, before I made that type of investment, I'd want to be sure that it was dyno proven and compared to another in its class (Spoolin for example), to prove its superiority for our application. Most parts that come with good quality and price, should also have something that differentiates them from the rest, and in this case it shouldn't be hard because F23 ramhorns are a small market. If Spoolin really has one already available, then MAP would have to match or beat their price, or retain price and PROVE quality and significant difference over the Spoolin one for me to buy theirs.

I remember calling up spooling before i started on my build. I remember him telling me that they only made manifolds in even port design, not uneven port. Maybe they do now, that was 3 years ago.

fawk pay me I'll make whatever the hell you guys want :)..

Ps contrary to belief, I have seen some 550hp + cars on log manifolds... although I am not saying they are better, just saying they can still make decent power..

they only make log manifolds for our cars. they have nothing else available for our cars. what i was plannin was buy a b-series full race twin-scroll top mount manifold and just getting it modified to fit the f23 flange. i was talking to same guys that did micheals123(or something like that) manifold(the one who bought the h22 header and got it costume made to fit the f23) and he said if i bought the manifold it would be like another 400 to modify.
full race twin scroll top mount:$1000-1400
modification:$300-400
at the least the manifold i want would be almost 2000
if i could get the same thing for 700 i would be the happiest person in the world
this is what made me want this kind of manifold
