6000k, H1 HID's. I just used the bracket, and bent it to hold the bulb in place.

TYC's headlight was knocked-off in March 2008 and the fakes were selling on eBay for awhile as authentic TYC with logos and everything. You sir, got a pair of the fakes.

I read a thread awhile back about it on another forum, HT I believe. There were a few tell-tale signs, the retarded cutoff/output and the rubber dust-shield being two of them. There were others, but I don't recall what they were. For the most part, the authentic TYC's had decent performance.

Only problem I have with eBay is their not authorized dealers & all warranty issues with TYC must be done through the seller.

Hmm true,but when i was trying to get mine i looked at their ratings and on his page he said he's an authorized seller,i even got the DOT certificate but what do i know, it might be fake bcause i just searched for him on eBay but didnt see his store name.

Well that's what I'm saying. I'm 100% sure the problems with these are not his fault, but shippings. Either way they have to go back, I can't trade perfect OEM's for a set of broken TYC's.

So a little more research and I found this..

This is what the back of these TYC's look like.. almost exactly except wiring, corner light placement etc.. but the high beam and low beam look exactly the same..rubber boot dust covers. NO TYC's have I seen have these.

Something else interesting.. These look EXACTLY like TYC's from the front.. but notice the auction doesn't say TYC anywhere and no photo of the backs.

So you have the hard black plastic cover on the back? I wish TYC's website would provide part numbers so I could cross reference.
