omg the car's running great. a/f's look great and it runs smooth. need to tweak around with the tune a bit cause it'll sometimes stalls once its warm if I take it outta gear and the rpm's drop. any suggestions? iac duty cycle maybe? let me know what you guys think.

it was hard as **** haha even with all the **** I learned at school if it weren't for paul there would have been quite a few problems down the road so I owe alot to him.

I'll make a little walk around video tomorrow as long as the weather is nice.

Re: UPDATE!!! teaser video [4-12-11] x5carl3tmurd3rx's Turbo build

holy ****. had some sketchyness last night. at some point last night when I was data-logging a cruise to the gas station and back, my cam pulley bolt decided to spin itself off and disappear. lucky for me the tension of the belt kept the pulley on so there was no disaster. I just happened to look down and notice it gone when I was checking the oil after the drive. I pulled the one off the old head and re torqued it with some loctite, went out afterwards to a friends house and stopped a few times on the way there and back to check and make sure the bolt was still torqued and it seems ok now.

just pulled the car into my garage and I'm gonna check over everything and make sure there are no other little problems.

Also I may be crazy but the cam pulley seems to have a slight bit of run-out but it could just be the light reflecting of the powder coat playing tricks on my eyes, but I don't remember noticing it before the cam pulley bolt spun off so it has me worried a little.

other then that I just have to recheck the valve lash cause I have a slight bit of what sounds like valve tick. after I finish checking everything over tonight I'll make a video and post it in the eye candy section. stay tuned.

Everything looks really nice. Congrats on getting it up and running. Good thing nothing happened with the cam pulley bolt going MIA. Did Paul use a MIG for everything?

thanks man. He used a TIG for everything as far as I know. I'll say one thing welding is not his strong point. the weld where the wastegate routes into the rest of the exhaust doesn't even look like a TIG weld. Maybe when I get a welder I'll grind them down and lay down something prettier hahaha

ya I'm glad too hahah I'm not really sure if the cam pulley would help or not with a stock cam.

well after another night out and a few errands that I ran this morning the new cam bolt seems to be holding quite well with the help of that blue loctite. think I'll have to do that with all cam pulley bolts from now on just to be safe.

The reason your car stalls when RPMs fall is either like you said idle duty cycle which is setup on the S300, or a physical problem such as partial obstruction or blockage in the flow holes of the IACV. It could be anywhere, because I had that problem too when I installed the blockoff plate the first time. Only after I took the IACV off and scraped off the obstructing Hondabond, did my idle get fixed and work properly. If this is the case, this is the situation I warned you to watch out for when installing the 2-wire IACV and blockoff plate and how carefully it needs to be done.
