possibly if not that then just run hoodless and its not just the dump tube but the exhaust as well.through the hood?
please dont cut a hole in the hood for a dump pipe..ha
angle it down towards the ground like mine.
The setup is strictly a track only exhaust as it would be way to loud to run on the street. The best exhaust for a turbo is an open downpipe, coming up through the hood makes it very short and avoids the crazy bends that would be needed to run an open downpipe straight down do to the turbo and manifold combo I'm running. Plus its a simple and fun project for me to take up my time with the last two weeks of school and it will get me a decently good grade since I machined the flange from a piece or 12x6x3/8" mild steel flat stock, and to be honest it just looks down right badass in my opinion. Once the car is running well enough to drive I'm taking it to a shop to have a stainless steel downpipe made.^ +1. Another thing is, if it's angled upward then it's at risk for debris getting inside. You don't want a sink-pipe kink of sh*t to develop there. There's no reason to route it upwards or outwards. Just angle it toward the ground so it dumps down.
Like I said before I may just run hoodless when its on and do something else with that extra hood.i saw it in person and i say cut that junkyard hoood and be obnoxious!!!![]()
hondata s300.
I'm throwing a code for and ELD (electronic load detector) found a bunch of threads on honda-tech and other forums like it where civic and integra guys just disabled the ELD through their ECU, hondata being one of the few that have this option. You know anything about this?
its a hondata specific code, code 20 for an ELD.What exactly is the error code?
Congrats on getting it running bro! Do you have a video yet? I know you been busy.
If you are going to use that adapter which runs open dump and open downpipe I suggest you get a track tune for that setup specifically, and then another daily tune for where you have dumptube routed down and proper downpipe routed to exhaust. You should not run open dump and open downpipe if you are only tuned for open dump and attached exhaust.
