v6 shift knob

I see i4's changing their shift knobs all the time, but out of curiosity can a v6 do it. I know we have this button on the side, but im not sure if that would interfere with the modification. i was thinking of getting a bubble shift knob which is why im asking.

I meant SHIFT knob btw lol

You can put manual shift knob on auto shifters. It's kinda dangerous as that button will be constantly engaged, so if you bump it it'll move into another gear. But it can be done.

Now that I think of it, I think Ractive made a knob just for this. It looked manual but would work in autos. You had to twist it slightly to engage it.

Edit: They make colored T-handles. Pretty sure they turn/twist slightly to engage. That's about the best you're gonna get, safely. Google "Ractive automatic shift knobs" takes you to toucan industries.

Razo did.. Discontinued now though .. A couple popped up in the fs section recently but I'm not sure if they're still fs.

You can find some with the buttons still, ive seen the razo ones pretty cheap in different colors

Razo discontinued all their automatic shift knob line. Very rare item.

Seen auto shift knobs w/button at AutoZone but look kind of cheap.. I just went ahead and swapped in a gated tl shifter so I could put a MT shift knob (lots more options)
