i would get coil overs but that depends if you want to spend that much. you won't regret coils.

Can't you get those function and from coils for good pricing. Or are those cheap.

^You can find great deals on a set of those. If you want ride comfort somewhat close to that of OEM, you'll want to stay away though. But if you're all about handling, then you can't go wrong.

yes, to me they're a great price. i've looked into new tien Super Streets and they're about 1k or so...i got the type II's for 885 shipped...im not regreting my choice at all and i have had no noises or problems with them so far. they're not oem ride quality of course but they're not bad. it's still soft enough where other people with coils are jealous of how soft mine feel.

Coilovers are out of my budget anyways, and I really don't want it to be slammed (chicago streets are always under construction). I don't really need adjustability either.

What would you recommend for comfort n all that?

I'd pair a set of Tokico blues (non-adjustable struts) with some H&R or Neuspeed springs (or any springs that give a bigger drop in front than in back)...or I'd pair a set of Koni yellows (adjustable struts) with some Eibach Sportlines or any set of springs that give the same drop all around. To give you an idea of stiffness, Koni yellows on their softest setting are 20% stiffer than stock.

Basically you want to pair struts that you can't adjust height with springs that account for that height by giving a bigger drop in front than in back. If you buy struts that have adjustable "perches" then you can pair them with springs that are the same front and back.

The nice thing about yellows is that they have both height and stiffness adjustability, whereas Tokico Illumnas (I think) only adjust heightwise. Then blues are non-adjustable period.
